Coaster

A solid wood coaster is first and foremost a table object, designed for everyday life. It accompanies a glass of wine, a cup of coffee or a cold drink placed on the living room coffee table, desk or home bar. Its function is simple: to protect the furniture while remaining discreet. Its presence does not seek to dominate the decor, but to fit in perfectly.

This coaster finds its place in the kitchen, living room or on a garden table. It holds a glass, a bottle or a candle, sometimes placed in a lot or set on the table for an evening. Its square shape adds a touch of elegance. It becomes a silent service accessory, useful in everyday life, without excessive decoration.

Solid wood is selected for its density, grain and texture. Before shaping, it is observed, then left to dry for a time to avoid internal tensions. This patient approach guarantees a stable material, capable of withstanding the moderate heat of a hot glass without deforming.

Each piece is worked by hand: cutting, progressive sanding, then oiling at the right time. The finish remains matte, soft to the touch, revealing the natural grain. A discreet non-slip support can be added to the base to prevent slipping. The wood then reveals a calm expression, between robustness and finesse.

Wipe after each use, avoid prolonged immersion and abrasive products. A thin layer of cooking oil applied from time to time preserves the patina and texture. Do not put in the dishwasher.

These coasters are made in France as part of a small collection of turned and assembled wooden objects, following traditional craftsmanship. They are designed to last, age gently and accompany the simple gestures of everyday life. Discover also our napkin rings, trivets, serving trays, appetizer boards and salami boards.

Made in France

Choosing Made in France coasters means valuing genuine artisanal expertise. All our wooden creations are manufactured in French workshops.

Our short supply chain guarantees controlled production that respects both the material and the environment.

We enhance the character of wood, whether it's the warmth of oak, the finesse of beech, or the robustness of ash, carefully crafted by local artisans. Each piece is shaped with precision to combine functionality and aesthetics.

The result? Durable, elegant, and responsible coasters that bring a touch of authentically French culinary design to your table.

Handmade

Each coaster in our selection is handcrafted by passionate artisans. The wood is planed, cut, and carefully sanded to reveal its natural smoothness. The edges are softened, the grain highlighted, and each finish showcases its own nuances.

This manual work gives each piece a unique character: no two coasters are strictly identical. Unlike standardized industrial products, our creations carry a story within them – the story of the wood, the artisanal gesture, and the know-how that shapes them.

You thus hold in your hands an object of character, designed to last and accompany your dining moments, both everyday and on special occasions.

Eco-friendly products

We have chosen natural, durable and renewable materials. Our wood comes from sustainably managed forests, where biodiversity preservation and resource regeneration are priorities. No superfluous chemical treatment: the wood retains its natural breath, evolves and develops a patina over time.

Local manufacturing also reduces the carbon footprint by limiting unnecessary transportation. By choosing solid wood coasters rather than plastic, you are opting for a noble, durable and environmentally friendly material, while adding an authentic aesthetic touch to your table.

Thus, ecology can be elegant, useful and sustainable in everyday life.

Maintaining your wooden coasters

They are easy to maintain. To keep your wooden coasters beautiful and long-lasting, a few simple steps are enough.

Clean them with lukewarm water and a soft sponge, then dry them immediately for optimal hygiene. Do not put them in the dishwasher, do not let them soak, and avoid any abrasive products that could alter or dry out the wood.

Once a month, apply a thin layer of food-grade oil (linseed, grapeseed, or special wood oil) to nourish the surface, preserve its natural protection, and extend their lifespan.

If slight marks appear, light sanding with fine grit will smooth the surface and revive the wood's appearance.

Well-maintained, your coasters will gain character and beauty over time.
